This is The Crew. A racing game with 12 million copies sold that was shut down overnight.

Stop killing games is a foundation that is protesting games that shut down and practically rob players of their money. While the crew was a free to play game, many people had spent money on cosmetics. Stop killing games aims to have players of games get laws passed in other countries to allow players to continue support for the games they play, as the law is almost completely settled in the U.S. What they reason is to happen is that the law would go worldwide. A case of when this happened was the Steam refund program. The ACCC in Australia forced Valve to offer refunds on Steam, and Valve ended up giving refunds worldwide.
